South African born, but Australian bred, Dr Govender graduated Medical School in the year 2000. He has a 20-year background of working in Emergency Medicine, starting off in Queensland, (including 2 years of remote rural work), before moving to Sydney, and then to the Mid North Coast. Dr Govender has a certificate in Emergency Medicine and has worked in Anaesthetics, Paediatrics and ICU. His special interests include Men’s Health, Paediatrics, Trauma, Acute Muskuloskeletal and Sports Injuries. He has 2 children and 1 wife (imported from Canada), rides motorbikes, likes art history, drawing, and when it comes to footy, is a St George supporter (but don’t hold that against him).
